Where you live presents certain advantages and disadvantages. In India, the NY Times reported a few years back, land is so scarce that some people have their relatives declared dead so as to inherit it sooner. One man started a society of dead people as a support group.

No, they're having other problems. One man showed up in his village, and residents fled taking him for a ghost. Now the village elders are demanding he prove he is not a ghost.
